MedSurg/ICU Director Position in CA
Position overview:
Position reports to Chief Nursing Executive
Position units: ICU, DOU/SDU, Medical Surgical General and Monitored
Number of beds in each unit: 20 ICU, 30 DOU, 4 MS Units with 24 each
Total FTE’s: 275
Number of direct reports: 4 Nursing Managers and Travel between 2 Medical Centers will be required.
Qualifications:
Minimum eight years of acute healthcare nursing experience, including a minimum of four (4) years of progressive management and supervisory experience.
Education:
Master’s Degree in related field (nursing, health administration, business, public health or management) or enrolled in a relevant Master’s degree program to be completed within three years.
Academic degree in nursing required (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
License, Certification and Registration
Current California RN license required.
BLS certificate required.
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge of operations and healthcare management; Nurse Practice Act, TJC and other local, state and federal regulations.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
