A 100 bed hospital located in KY, has a need for a Lab Supervisor/Manager to join the team.
Looking for someone who is a strong leader and can be the “Manager” in the absence of the Lab Director.
The Supervisor oversees 15 FTEs, including Section Supervisors, and will be overseeing all areas of the Lab.
This is a WORKING SUPERVISOR position.
This is a Day shift position as well.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Bachelor’s degree in a biological, chemical, physical science or graduation from an approved school of Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent medical technologist certification prior to 2/28/1992.
Minimum Work Experience:
5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist; 1 year experience in high complexity testing.
Needs some leadership experience (ie-Lab Supervisor, Lead Med Tech, etc).
Licenses: Licensed as Medical Technologist, ASCP or AMT
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
