Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Divisional Director Surgical Services assures service development, personnel management, resource allocation and management controls in order to ensure consistent high quality patient care within patient care areas.
The Director collaborates with other Divisional Directors with setting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating standards of care and practice, participates on assigned hospital and medical committees and promotes collaborative relationships among Nursing Services, the medical staff and other departments.
The Divisional Director is responsible for ensuring that his/her units are in compliance with regulatory bodies and appropriateness of nursing care.
Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.

12 OR’s plus open heart
125 FTE’s
This position covers the following areas: ENDO, PACU, PAT, SDS, OR, SPD
7,500 procedures per year
Qualifications:
Current FL RN Licensure
5 – 7 years Surgical Service Management experience. Leadership and organization skills.
BSN required: Master’s Degree required; MBA or other health-related masters will be considered.
BLS required
Clinically competent in operating room nursing
Knowledge of human resource management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards preferred.
