Director of Health Information Services-Minnesota
Job Summary:
The Director of Health Information Services (H.I.S.) will assess, administer, plan and direct activities of H.I.S. ensuring policies and procedures are in compliance with State and Federal regulations governing health care organizations and ensure department’s standards meet insurance carrier guidelines.
In addition, the qualified candidate will be responsible for statistical reporting, assistance to staff in research projects and for assuring conformance to legal, professional and accreditation standards.
They will direct the coding process and DRG assignments.
The Director of H.I.S. will also serve as a HIPAA Privacy Officer.
Relocation is negotiable
Reports to: CFO
FTE’s: 13 (all non-management)
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Health information Management or equivalent.
RHIA or Registered Records Administrator certificate.
Prior experience in Health Information Services.
