CNS – Clinical Nurse Specialist  – Acute Care Adult Population

Bay Area Magnet Recognized, 2 hospital campuses with speciality and primary care clinics. Not-for-profit. Position is a Clinical Practice Manager who manages the clinical and educational resources and care standards for a specific patient population. CNS Manager is a member of the Chief Nursing Officer’s leadership team and a member of the Advanced Practice Nurses Group. This Manager participates in the development of evidence based care delivery systems and clinical practice programs. The Manager’s role, along with other members of the management team, is to promote the provision of effective, high quality patient care to all patients. Master’s degree in Nursing required. MSN major in clinical nurse specialist, clinical nurse leader, education or related health care field. Current California RN license required Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification required. Four years of RN clinical experience in specific department required.  Three to five years of education or clinical specialist experience with increasing scope of responsibility preferred.

Location: Bay Area, CA

 

Institute Director Openings

Ortho & Neuro (separate openings) – will consider someone who can manage both areas if they have extensive experience. 

Non-clinical – business development focused.

A highly respected Magnet Southern CA Hospital; 200+beds, affiliated with a University system. Reports to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. The Director will leads together with the Medical Director, the Institute Leadership Team and medical staff to assure the organization a long-term position of strength and prominence in the region’s healthcare marketplace.

Responsible for a range of activities to include business planning, community and marketing events and activities, product/service line development, physician relations and practice/business development.
Minimum Required: Seven years of experience in a management/leadership position with experience in strategic planning, marketing, market research and community/business development activities in support of a large, managed care oriented, complex healthcare organization. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management or related field. A clinical degree is acceptable with appropriate experience in marketing and/or business development. Masters preferred. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve hospital’s mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations. Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access). Exceptional facilitation and consensus-building skills. Strong management skills. Able to define overall goals, provide relevant information.

Neonatology Service Line Director – non-clinical – business development focused.

A highly respected Magnet Southern CA Hospital; 200+beds, affiliated with a University system looking for a Neonatology Service Line Director. Reporting to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, the Service Line Director, Neonatology leads together with the Medical Director, the Institute Leadership Team and medical staff to assure the organization a long-term position of strength and prominence in the region’s healthcare marketplace. Responsible for a range of activities to include business planning, community and marketing events and activities, product/service line development, physician relations and practice/business development.

Qualifications Required:

Seven years of experience in a management/leadership position with experience in strategic planning, marketing, market research and community/business development activities in support of a large, managed care oriented, complex healthcare organization.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management or related field. A clinical degree is acceptable with appropriate experience in marketing and/or business development.

Master’s degree preferred.

Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve.

Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).

Exceptional facilitation and consensus-building skills. Strong management skills.

Has a mentoring and coaching style of management. Possesses excellent numerical and analytical skills. Savvy regarding assessing business development opportunities with an eye for maximizing benefits. Innovative problem-solving ability. Solid record of accomplishment of well thought-out business/program development initiatives resulting in tangible market share/revenue growth.

Excellent Location! 10-15 minutes from the ocean! 

*Central Coast – CA Openings – small hospital 50+beds. Applied for CAH status. Located 45 minutes to 1hr in each direction of Monterey, Salinas and Paso Robles. 

 

*Manager: ED & RT

Full Time 

Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Work Experience: Minimum two years progressive experience in Emergency Room. Knowledge of legal aspects of Emergency Room nursing. Knowledge of Emergency Room techniques and management. Licensing Requirements: Current California RN license – required, Current AHA BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications – required. Board certification in emergency services – preferred.  

 

*Employee Health Nurse 

Full Time 

Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing – required, BSN – required Masters – preferred. Skills Requirements: Ability to perform comprehensive physical exams and documents accordingly. Able to communicate and problem solve effectively. Knowledge of personnel policies and state/federal guidelines. Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, visitors, vendors and the general public. Licensing/Certification: Current California Registered Nurse license – required American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate – required Work Experience: Minimum of two years in acute care setting – required Previous experience in employee health or occupational health – preferred. 

 

*Manager: Infection Prevention

Full Time 

Education: Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) Or Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) Licensing/Certification: Current California Registered Nurse license Or Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license. Certification in Infection Prevention (CIC) required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate. 

 *Physical Therapist

Full Time 

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Skill Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively. Licensing Requirements: Current CA Physical Therapist License.
