This is an opportunity to oversee Case Management for a 100 bed hospital that is consistently full. The department is staffed with a great team who is each handling 14 active patients with a triad model, and handling a few inactive patients with help from support staff.
Reporting to the corporate Case Management Executive, this position is similar to other Director roles that have responsibility for all of care coordination and utilization for the hospital. This includes managing a staff of 28, charity care budget, department budget and work-load equalization. The person awarded this position will be a highly visible member of both the hospital and the system leadership teams by serving on several committees including: patient through-put, length of stay and re-admissions. Requirements: This position is for an R.N. Case Manager, Bachelor’s degree is required, as well as a Master’s degree – one of which must be a clinical degree. 2+ years of management experience in case management or utilization management, certification in case management preferred.
