Radiology Manager job, CT

A 300+ bed hospital located on the Eastern seaboard of CT has a need for a Radiology Manager to join their team.  The Radiology Manager directly reports to the Department Director with collaboration of the Executive Director. He/she is directly responsible for managing the operations of Diagnostic Radiology (including diagnostic radiology exams performed in the Emergency Department and Operating Room), Nuclear Medicine (at SH and Tully), MRI, CT and Ultrasound. He/she is also responsible for budget preparation, monitoring of revenue, expenses, exam volume, and FTE utilization, the scheduling of exams, patient check-in and order entry, image capture, report/result turnaround, as well as overall workflow and customer and employee satisfaction in the modalities he/she manages. This position ensures quality service and compliance with State, Federal, JCAHO, ACR, MQSA and other associated accreditation agencies’ regulations; adherence to departmental and hospital policies and procedures; promotion of hospital’s mission and values.  This position oversees 50 FTEs.

 QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program required
  • RT required-registered technologist ARRT
  • Minimum of 5-7years of clinical experience in the field of radiology is required
  • Prior management/leadership experience of 3-5 years is required.
  • Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) is highly preferred
  • Must be able to develop and refine modality scan protocols in conjunction with Radiologist
  • Must be able to measure and manage the level of competency and quality of all technologists scans (all modalities)
  • Seeks new types of programs/scans and explore for feasibility of instituting in SH for Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, VIR, PET/CT, MRI, CT and Ultrasound; experience in implementing these new programs/scans and technologies is required.
