This 150+ bed hospital in the Raleigh, NC area, has a need for an experienced PACU/Pre-Op Supervisor/Educator to join their team. They need of a strong RN for the PACU Clinical Educator/Supv position. A BSN is required as is a minimum of 3-5 years nursing experience. The hiring manager really needs someone with solid PACU or Pre-op experience and who is currently in supervisory/management role or has been in the recent past – as well as experience in working as a nurse preceptor or nurse educator. The PACU Supv will oversee 36 FTEs. The person will be based in the PACU cost center, but will also be supervisor/educator for Pre op and Preadmission testing (PAT) clinic.
PACU beds: 13 phase I and 7 phase II, Pre-op 12 bays. PAT Clinic has 5 exam rooms .
Position assists the unit manager in supervision, coordination, education, and management of nursing personnel to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient care services on an assigned shift. The Clinical Educator/Supervisor understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of patient care services.
Experience Requirements :
A minimum of three to five years of professional experience in clinical nursing including clinical practice directly related to that of assigned unit required. Experience in teaching and facilitation of learning required. Experience in nursing management preferred.
Education Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. All new hires must obtain national certification in Nursing within 1 year of hire or as soon as eligible per national standards. National certification in nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements :
Current RN licensure in State of North Carolina with no substantiated findings required.
Hours of Work : Monday – Friday, days
Weekend Requirements : No Weekends
Call Requirements : Rotating management call
