We are working with an Excellent hospital system in the Hawaii market looking for an Interim Same Day Surgery Manager. Hospital wants to hire a Temp-to- permanent candidate. They do not want only Interim. Must be willing to convert.
Up to a 6 month assignment.
Patient care needs in Same Day Surgery range from minimal interventions to all varieties of more complex surgical procedures that are appropriate for an outpatient setting. There are 10 pre-operative beds, 6 ORs, 4 Procedure rooms, and 14 post-operative/procedure beds, including one isolation room, which can be used for both Phase I and Phase II patients as needed. SDS hours of operation are from 0500-1900 Monday through Friday with an Eye Call Team available 24/7 for emergency eye surgeries. As well as a Photo/Laser call team for RN monitor. A permanent record of the patients’ surgical experience is kept by a combination of paper documents in the Medical Records Department and through the Carelink database. FTE’s 60-70. Must have 3-5 years of strong management experience in OR, pre/post op areas and MD relations skills. Strong management of Robotics, Ortho and Opthalmology ambulatory services required. BSN required, MSN is preferred. Once a month travel home, temporary housing and travel expenses paid by hospital.
