RN – Inpatient General Surgery (post-op inpatient) Nurse Manager
· 36 bed inpatient unit for general surgery and bariatric surgery post op patients
· 70 employees, very stable staff with only 3 openings,
· Top performing floor, great patient satisfactions scores
· Good camaraderie, celebrate birthdays, awards etc.
· Union but good relationship
· 5/6 patients per nurse
· 8 charge nurses, 1-2 per shift plus relief nurses as needed
· Manager retired, looking for replacement
Manager experience/expectations:
· 2+ years of inpatient management experience (any area)
· Post-op and surgical experience desired but not necessary
· Must be visible to all three shifts
· Call is 1:5 weeks, light call, stay in town for medical emergencies only (not staffing issues etc.)
· Will train inpatient nurse manager without surgery experience
· Leadership skills/experience is a must
